4 of 8 1 Samuel 27:9
He would take all of their sheep, cattle, donkeys, camels, and clothing and go back to Achish.
5 of 8 1 Samuel 27:9
When Achish would ask, 'Where did you raid today?' David would say, 'The Negev of Judah' or 'The Negev of Jeharmeel' or 'The Negev of the Kenites.'
David would leave neither man nor woman alive, thinking, 'This way they cannot report on us, saying, "This is what David did."' This was his practice throughout the time he lived in the Philistine's country.
So Achish trusted David, saying to himself, 'He has become repugnant to his own people in Israel. He will permanently be my servant.'
