Finally he told her his secret, saying, 'My hair has never been cut, because I have been set apart to God since birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as any other man.

She said to him, 'Samson! The Philistines are upon you!' Samson woke from his sleep and thought, 'I will do as before and shake myself free,' but he did not know that Yahweh had left him.
The Philistines captured him and gouged out his eyes.

They bound him in bronze shackles and made him a grinder in the prison.
