Again the Israelites did evil in Yahweh's sight.

And Yahweh put them in the hands of the Philistines for forty years.

There was a man Manoah from the tribe of Dan. His wife was infertile and had no children.
3 of 14 Judges 13:2
The angel of Yahweh appeared to the woman and said, 'You are infertile and have no children, but you will conceive and bear a son. Be careful that you do not drink wine or beer, and that you eat nothing unclean.'
4 of 14 Judges 13:3–4
'You will bear a son. No razor shall touch his head, for he will be dedicated to God from birth. He will begin to rescue Israel from the hands of the Philistines.'

Manoah said to angel of Yahweh, 'Please stay here while we prepare a young goat for you to eat.'

The angel of Yahweh said, 'Even if I stay, I will not eat your food. But if you wish to make a burnt sacrifice, offer it to Yahweh.'

Manoah said to the Angel of Yahweh, 'Tell us you name, so that when your words come true, we may honor you.'

The angel of Yahweh said to him, 'Why ask my name when it is incomprehensible?'

Manoah then took a young goat and sacrificed it on a rock to Yahweh.
10 of 14 Judges 13:19
As the flames went up from the altar to the sky, the angel of Yahweh ascended with the flames, and Manoah realized that this had been the Angel of Yahweh.
Manoah said to his wife, 'We are certain to die now that we have seen God.' His wife replied, 'If Yahweh had meant to kill us, he would not have accepted our burnt sacrifice.'
The woman bore a son and named him Samson.
