The rabble among them began to have hunger pangs, and the Israelites again began to weep. 'Who will give us some meat to eat?' they said.

Moses heard the people weeping, and he said to Yahweh, 'Where am I to find meat for all these people?'
Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell the people, "Since you have wept in Yahweh's hearing, very well, Yahweh will give you meat to eat."'
'And you will eat it not for one day, or two, or five, or ten, or twenty, but for a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils and sickens you.'
Moses said, 'Six hundred thousand men are here around me, and you say, "I shall give them meat to eat for a whole month!"
