Later on, Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. This is how it happened. Simon Peter, Thomas, Nathaneal, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. Simon Peter said, 'I am going fishing.' They replied, 'We will go with you.'<br>

They went out and got in the boat, but caught nothing that night.<br>

In the early morning, Jesus stood on the shore, though the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. He called out, 'Haven't you caught any fish, friends?'<br>

'No!' they answered, and Jesus said, 'Throw the net out to the right side of the boat and you'll find some.'<br>

When they threw the net, they could not pull it in because of the quantity of fish. The disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, 'It is the Lord!'<br>

Having heard that it was the Lord, Simon Peter tied his outer garment around him, for he was naked.<br>

The disciples took the boat in, towing the net with the fish.<br>

Simon Peter dragged the net ashore. It was full of big fish -- one hundred and fifty-three of them.<br>

As soon as they came ashore, they saw that there was a charcoal fire with fish cooking on it, and some bread. Jesus said to them, 'Come and have breakfast.'<br>

When they had eaten, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon son of John, do you love me more than these others do?'<br>

He answered, 'Yes, Lord, you know I love you.' Jesus said to him, 'Feed my lambs.'<br>

Jesus said to him a second time, 'Simon son of John, do you love me?'<br>

He answered, 'Yes, Lord, you know I love you.' Jesus said to him. 'Take care of my sheep.'<br>

Then he said to him a third time, 'Simon son of John, do you love me?'<br>

Peter was hurt that Jesus asked him a third time, and he said, 'Lord, you know everything! You know I love you!'<br>

Jesus said to him, 'Feed my sheep.'<br>

After this, he said to Peter, 'Follow me.'<br>

Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them.<br>

And seeing him, Peter said to Jesus, 'What about him, Lord?'<br>

Jesus said, 'If I want him to remain until I come, what does it matter to you? You are to follow me.'<br>

The rumor then went out among the brothers that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say he would not die, but 'If I want him to remain until I come, what does it matter to you?'<br>

This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who has written them down. We know that his testimony is true.
